Apr 27, 2003 · Re skid steer, it may depend on the make of machine. My Bobcat 743B uses engine oil 20-50W in the hydraulics as per the owners manual. FWIW the hydrostat drives on my Skag mower are supposed to use 20-50wt. The pumps are made by Hydrogear and the wheel motors by White.
